Here is some background on our organization and what we do at our conferences.

As far as the Wisconsin Healthcare Technology Association (WHTA) members goes, it varies from year to year. However, in any given year we will have members from just about every major healthcare organization in the state: Aurora Healthcare and Wheaton Franciscan in the Milwaukee/Waukesha area, Marshfield Clinic, ThedaCare, Ministry Healthcare, St. Mary’s & Dean Health in Madison, Franciscan Skemp in Eau Claire, Gundersen Lutheran in La Crosse, Affinity Health in Oshkosh, Agnesian HealthCare in Fond du Lac to name a few.  In addition, we have vendor members from all over Wisconsin and Northern Illinois.

Attendance at our meetings is usually consists of a mix of end-users and vendors. The Fall Conference in October, we start with Meet and Greet happy hour on Wednesday evening.  Thursday we have sessions in the morning into early afternoon.  At about noon we have the Vendor Showcase until 4pm.  Following is a local activity, Happy Hour and Dinner.  Sometimes we have bands, magicians, bowling or other entertainment to end the night.  It seems to always be a fun night had by all in attendance.  Friday we have the business meeting with election of board members and picking new locations.  Then we have our famous Friday Forum topic with a panel of experts to tackle a certain topic.  Lunch ends the day around 1pm.  Depending upon location and the program offered, but the attendance has consistent numbers.

Sponsorship benefits include verbal and visual recognition during the conferences.  Website recognition for sponsors with links to their web pages. We have also looked at partnering up with other organizations within the state to increase attendance for the vendors to get the most exposure to many hospitals in healthcare.

I think it is fair to say that we are a unique organization which prides itself in offering excellent and informative presentations for our members, and which promotes a very comfortable dynamic between end-users and vendors. We do not view vendors as “used car salesmen”; we believe that they are a major factor in the success or failure of ourselves and our organizations.

Thank you for your interest in the WHTA!
